For all you couples that like to move to the beat of your own drum, we bring you Marc and Danielles dreamy winter wedding! They wanted to showcase their personalities throughout their moody decor, and they did so with vibrant jewel tones and an edgy, vintage vibe at their indoor venue, The Ebell Long Beach.
The romantic lighting of their reception is all drama, with a HUGE love marquee sign and soft candlelight on the tables. The gorgeous couple looked as happy as can be for their big day, and did you spot the brides “something blue” yet?! From the Bride: Marc and I both move to the beat of our own drum and we wanted this wedding to be a reflection of that. It was completely unique - unlike any other weddings we have been to! It was a stunning winter wedding - whimsical and romantic, farm to table, edgy and vintage. Both of our personalities really shined through.
We wanted a traditional Jewish wedding under a simple copper Chuppah adorned with minimal, loose greens. We chose to write our own vows and read them in front of our closest family and friends. It was so intimate! Writing our own vows was harder than we thought it would be, but they turned out to be both sentimental and funny and really set the tone for the night.
The venue fit our vision perfectly! We wanted to get married indoors because of the time of year, but still wanted the venue to feel magical and not like a typical ballroom. My one non-negotiable for the venue is that it couldn't have carpet (even though my dad owns a floor covering company!) Right when I saw the Ebell Long Beach I knew that is where we had to get married - a sky lit covered courtyard, mosaic tiled floors, crystal orb chandeliers, vintage decor, tasteful artwork, and a majestic ballroom - what more can you ask for. It felt like a destination wedding right outside of Los Angeles!
The escort cards were a display of champagne flutes with names and table assignment etched on an acrylic stir stick and floral arrangements. This was our nod to NYE and it really got the party started!
Guests sat at a mix of long dark wood farm tables and round tables draped in dark green velvet. The tables were decorated with a mix of dark blue taper candles in vintage brass candlestick holders, jewel toned flowers in varied brass and gold mercury bud vases, gold mercury and pressed glass tea candles, and groupings of fruits and vegetables. Table numbers were calligraphed in gold on large pomegranates. At each place setting was a custom lucite menu with a rosemary treatment underneath. A mix of whimsical butterfly or geometric black and white patterned napkins were tied in a knot next to the place setting.
