Bobby and Mallory met in Newport Beach. They both lived on 44th street and met one day while walking to the beach. When thinking about their wedding they both definitely wanted the Southern California tropical vibe to be present but still feel soft and romantic.
When Bobby proposed to Mallory, it was an entire weekend of celebrations. The two decided to go to Palm Desert for the weekend to celebrate Bobby's birthday. Little did Mallory know that they would be celebrating a lot more than just Bobby’s birthday! Bobby arranged for 40 of our closest friends and family members to be at our hotel without Mallory’s knowledge.
Bobby emailed a floorplan of the hotel mapping out where he and Mallory would be at all times in order to keep everyone's arrival a secret. Everyone watched the proposal from different places at the hotel and after Mallory said yes they came out one by one. Mallory was shocked. She had friends fly in from Portland, New York, Las Vegas, and everywhere in between. Mallory’s dad was not in good health, so when she saw him walk out it meant the absolute world to her. Mallory’s father’s health, unfortunately, didn't allow him to be at the wedding, so having him there for our proposal was even more special than she could have imagined. The night was perfect.
Mallory and Bobby wanted to achieve a timeless look for their wedding. Mallory’s goal was to be able to look back at their photos in 20 years and still feel good about the choices they made. Clean, simple, and classic with touches of navy blue and gold is the direction they went!
The planning process was pretty seamless. Mallory mentioned that she can be very indecisive in real life but when it came to their wedding, she knew what their vision was and they always kept it clear insight. She set monthly goals of what she wanted to achieve and just kept making her way down the list! The one thing she always felt confident about was who she surrounded herself with during the planning process and the team she had put together. Mallory said that everyone she worked with was true professionals and were able to understand her vision and execute it in a way that was better than she could have ever imagined. The best thing she did was hire a wedding coordinator (shout out to Sugar Plum)! Mallory described Sugar Plum & Company as her group of fairy godmothers!
