• Real Weddings

After our post of a few months ago, we are pleased to show one of our recent weddings in this magic place, located on one of the most beautiful and famous hills of Rome: the Aventine.
As already mentioned, it is not a luxurious home with opulent interiors, or a castle, but a former convent converted into an important association for research and study of the history of Rome.

Entering the cloister through the large courtyard entrance is like stepping back in history. Large walkways run the entire perimeter of the courtyard, with an ancient well in the centre and columns of various materials and eras. The dinner was set in this courtyard, with elegant tablecloths and gold chairs, strictly white floral decorations, glass lamps, and torches, which created a a truly charming atmosphere.

One side of the cloister leads to the wonderful, wide terrace overlooking the Tiber, with the famous Trastevere on the other side, and clearly visible in the background are the famous monuments of Rome such as the dome of St. Peter and the Altare della Patria. This was the perfect area to organise an aperitif, with comfortable sofas and ottomans on the grass, so the guests could enjoy the spectacle of light that the sunset offers.

After dinner in the courtyard, the newlyweds and their guests were back on the terrace, completely transformed after nightfall. A path between lanterns and candles led to the wedding cake, placed on a table in front of breathtaking views of the city by night.

After cutting the cake everybody kicked off the party, with drinks at the illuminated open bar and dancing barefoot on the lawn until late at night.

This was a wedding memorable not only for the couple - Rachel and Lee, to whom we send our warmest greetings - and their enchanted guests, but also for me and my colleagues to Wed in Italy. We never forget how lucky we are, and we express our thanks by showing our passion for doing this job!
