Do you remember Sossan and Niko's colorful Greece wedding on the island of los? Well, we have another dreamy wedding on the Island of los to share with you today. The Island is situated halfway between Naxos and Santorini. The entire Island is about 11 miles long and about 6 miles wide and our next couple, Sally and Jeremy, fell completely in love with this tiny patch of heaven. The couple is originally from London, but they love to travel and wanted a destination wedding.
Greece event planner and designer, GK Events assisted the wanderlust couple in creating their dream wedding. Their wedding ceremony was beneath an arch of magenta bougainvillea and they had an unforgettable wedding reception at the iconic Ios Club. The waterfront wedding venue was the perfect backdrop for their inspiring and well-styled evening. Read on to see all of Sally and Jeremy's Greece elopement. The entire wedding was photographed by Greece wedding photographer, Nik Pekridis.
The ceremony was held at the theater of Odysseus Elytis, named after the famous Greek poet. The wedding ceremony site has a breathtaking view of the Aegean sea.
Though the amphitheater is made of marble in the ancient Greek style, it was constructed relatively recently as compared to other architectural wonders of Ios. It is a large structure and can hold up to 1100 people at any given time.
Greece wedding florist, Petridis Creations adorned the ceremony backdrop with dazzling bright pink bougainvillea blooms, blush and purple garden roses, white and hot pink hydrangea, lush olive branches and a sea of Greek herbs. The backdrop looks not only stunning but also smelled beautiful. Sally and Jeremy stood beneath the structure and exchanged their handwritten vows.
