A Love Story That’s A Tale As Old As Time
Having worked as a princess at Disney for years, Rachel finally met her very own Prince Charming, Joe. Now it was time for their royal wedding, and the bar was set pretty high. They wanted a classic, elegant celebration with subtle nods to Rachel's fairytale past. Infusing bits of your personality and past into your wedding is a great idea, but it can be tricky, especially when it comes to fairytales. This team added just the right amount of pixie dust and kept this wedding beautiful and timeless. At The Estate At Cherokee Dock, a beautiful Tennessee manor house on the water, the two tied the knot on a perfect summer day.
Laurie D'Anne Events worked closely with Rachel to work in different fairytale elements, like blue and gold accents (a nod to princess Belle's French royal heritage) and instrumentals from the couple's favorite Disney movies. Like pages pulled straight out of a storybook, these photos by Abigail Lewis Photography and Kathy Thomas Photography will make your heart flutter. Stella Rose Floral created a beautiful floral arch for the ceremony and romantic arrangements for the tablescapes and lounge. ONCE UPON A TIME
June is typically hot and humid in Tennessee. Not today; we hit the jackpot with the gorgeous weather! So the story began,"Once upon a time, on a chilly breezy Saturday in June, Joe and Rachel were married." Rachel and her mom came to us in the fall of 2019. Rachel talked about the vision for her wedding. She had worked at Disney playing the roles of Cinderella and Belle. She wanted to have Disney touches throughout their wedding, from the hand-painted castle photo backdrop and the Lumiere quote to "Be Our Guest" playing as the guests entered the reception.
BEFORE THE LAST PETAL FALLS
The circular floral ring set alongside the lake formed a peaceful backdrop. One of the essential design elements was the old church pews, shipped in for this wedding. Each guest had cones full of rose petals to toss as the couple recessed. The reception was filled with love as they watched Joe and Rachel's choreographed first dance.
TRUE LOVE CONQUERS ALL
The planning process was sweet. It was so much fun getting to know the two. We had everything planned, and then an evil pandemic happened. It tried to seize the day, but true love prevailed! We were here to help them have the wedding of their dreams. We have no expertise on a pandemic, but Tennessee was beginning to open up again. Rachel and Joe wanted to have their wedding, so we did everything we knew to help their guests feel comfortable.
