Marin Beach California is the home of The Pelican Inn, an authentic European Pub that will transport you over seas simply by stepping through their front door. With a love of travel inspiring their big day, this was the perfect venue for Lindsay and Carlos to hold a little European wedding in California. Wishing to see more? We loved everything about our big day! One thing I would definitely recommend is taking engagement photographs with your photographer. As a couple this really helped us relax in front of the camera. We went away from tradition and did a "first look" before the ceremony. This helped us relax and calm our nerves and also allowed us to take the wedding party photos before the ceremony. The photographs captured the spark we felt and feeling of excitement just before the ceremony.
My grandfather performed the ceremony, which honored my family's Scottish heritage. There was also a bag pipe player and Carlos' bandmates and sister played acoustic violin.
From Silvana Di Franco Photography: When in Marin California, you must stop by the Pelican Inn for an authentic pub experience. The food is delicious and the atmosphere takes you to Europe without the need of getting on a plane. Both Lindsay and Carlos planned a wonderful destination wedding for their guests. Folks from the east coast and the midwest got to experience a little of Marin and a lot of love!
We love to travel and named the tables after places we visited together. We included a photo of us at each place on the tables. The favors were our favorite British candy "fruit pastilles”.
