We’re SO glad Hurricane Lane didn’t blow away Jennifer and Nolan’s wedding! The category 5 storm from last summer was in the forecast for their I dos, and they weren’t sure whether to move the entire event inside or stick to their original plans of an outdoor wedding.
In the end, they stuck to their guns and had a gorgeous chic wedding at Loulu Palms Estate on the North Shore of Oahu. See all the beautiful highlights styled by Love Letter Weddings below, and catch a closer look in the full gallery from June Cochran Photography.
From Love Letter Weddings: Jennifer and Nolan got married during Hurricane Lane at Loulu Palms Estate on the North Shore of Oahu. Just three days before their nuptials we were notified that severe weather was going to effect their big day. Hawaii had been placed under a hurricane watch as the Category 5 headed towards Oahu.
When Jennifer and Nolan frantically called me and asked what to do, I advised they reevaluate the situation with some close friends because it would be risky to move forward with the original plan. They told me, "Louise you are our close friend right now...". I told them if it was me, I would take a chance on the wedding I had spent over a year dreaming up and planning. The best backup plan was to relocate the entire wedding indoors, a move that definitely did not represent this couple. They are adventurous, authentic, chic, romantic and full of laughter. So we pushed forward and prepped like no other! It ended up being a great sunny day full of moody skies and rainbows.
