Looking to simplifying your big day without cutting into the wow factor? Scaling back on your color palette could be a great option. April and Troy's San Diego wedding day is a great example. With just three neutral colors (white, ivory, and grey) it turned their garden wedding into a beautiful formal affair!

The color palette of soft ivories, greys, and greens brought the design of the wedding day all together. It was a very special day for the couple for a few reasons. The couple included lucky money in the wedding favors for their guests who traveled from all over to share this special day with them! The lucky money was every dollar tip that April had made in her younger days that she had been saving in a shoebox for her wedding day. April had been dreaming of her wedding since she was a little girl, however, at one point during their relationship Troy mentioned that he would “never” get married!
The couple enjoyed their first look while exchanging gifts. The joy on their faces was priceless and so incredibly special. The couple spent some time with their wedding party and immediate family taking photos on the beautiful grounds of The Dana.
The floral by TessFresh included a timeless style at the ceremony with a draped, wooden arch adorned with garden-like floral pieces. G Sharp Entertainment played the upbeat and fun music for the ceremony. The cheerful flower girl handed out white roses to wedding guests along the aisle as she entered the ceremony that was officiated by the groom’s brother, Matthew. The couple read love letters that they had written to one another which was the highlight of their vows! During the ceremony, the couple asked their mothers to participate in their sand ceremony to symbolize the joining of the two families.
Guests enjoyed mocktails, alcohol-free cocktails, the couple spent some time taking photos with one another and their extended families. Prior to dinner, Troy bustled April’s dress for her which was the cutest!
Farm tables, natural elements, and wooden touches styled the dinner area. TessFresh Floral curated the gorgeous floral in the ivory, grey, and green palette.
To acknowledge her heritage, April chose to give away wedding favors of special scented candles with a Chinese envelope wrapped around which include dollars from Aprils wedding savings. Everyone in attendance had a phenomenal time celebrating with April and Troy!
