When two die-hard Star Wars fans fall in love and get married, it would only make sense for them to have authentic Storm Troopers crash the party! The surprise Troopers got the party started and ended the night with a grand light saber exit to the delight of all their friends and family.
All in all, Taylor and Matt had one amazing day to celebrate their love at Giracci Vineyard & Farm in California. So be sure to check out the full gallery for more candid shots captured by Kelsey Albright. Curious about how much a wedding like this might set you back? Don't miss their budget breakdown below.
From Weddings by Cortney Helaine: Matt and Taylor had a day just for them. They surrounded themselves with their closest friends and family and they sealed their love with a kiss at the end of the ceremony, that's where the surprises started. As guests made their way to cocktail hour, authentic George Lucas, Storm Troopers greeted guests. As a surprise to everyone, including their parents, Matt & Taylor had arranged for an evening of fun that showed every part of their personality and was sure to be a crowd pleaser for all.
The storm troopers stayed all the way through the grand entrance to help usher the bridal party and new Mr. and Mrs. into the party. The group danced and sang their hearts out and ended the night with a Light Saber grand exit. It was the perfect night for this Star Wars loving Mr. and Mrs.
From the bride: My first piece of advice for future brides is to wear comfortable shoes!! You literally are standing for 5 hours (because if you think you will get much time to sit down and eat food you would be wrong) and you want to be comfortable. I bought cute flats that I now wear to work all the time! This coincides with simply being practical when purchasing items for your wedding. I used many decorative items from my own house for wedding decor to save a little money. Also, one thing that I wish I had done differently was to tell the family members who I wanted to be photographed during cocktail hour before the wedding day.
