We're dying over this gorgeous Palm Springs garden PARTY wedding with pizza, tacos and a tropical pineapple twist. Shindig Chic and COJ Events pulled out all the stops to bring the bride and grooms vision to life with muted colors, garden flowers and loads of pineapples throughout.
Their picture perfect day is certainly a total dream at Sand Acre Estate. Keep scrolling for more, and read about how this bride dealt with an almost disastrous outdoor sound ordinance (silent disco, anyone?) Plus find a full gallery captured by Matthew David Studio and budget breakdown below. Enjoy!
From the bride: We chose Palm Springs primarily because we wanted a destination wedding, and sunshine was a key component of that. We found that, of all the wedding's we'd been to together, the most memorable were the ones where it felt more like a vacation with a group of friends vs. just one night out. Palm Springs is also such a cool place, with retro yet trendy vibes - we just love the desert. I was born in Los Angeles and have a lot of family and friends there, so it was also an easy trip for many important people in our lives - I always envisioned getting married in SoCal.
We didn't want to distract from the beautiful setting/backdrop our venue provided, and we both like natural/neutral colors. We were going for garden party meets Spanish-style estate meets Palm Springs PARTY! It was so incredible to walk down the aisle and look at all the people who are there to support you and your partner, all of whom you love so dearly. We've never had so much warmth in our hearts.
The venue was incredible, and our vendors did a fantastic job bringing to life our vision. The flowers, decor and signage were beyond amazing - all of our guests were blown away by the meticulous details and gorgeous visuals. The food was delicious - we knew we couldn't go wrong with tacos and pizza, but Tacos Gonzalez and Pizza & Co. went above and beyond to deliver an epic meal.
From Shindig Chic: This sweet couple wanted to give their guests a true Palm Springs getaway that was far from stuffy. We combined a lush spring pastel palette with rich terracotta, succulents, a tropical twist.. and a lot of pineapples! Lori had the best outlook on wedding planning and allowed us a lot of creative freedom to bring her beautiful yet playful vision to life. We were able to surprise her with mini pineapples in her bouquet + Travis's boutonniere which was such a unique accent we loved.
Speaking of pineapple...Have you seen our FREE Pineapple Invitation Suite yet? It's the pineapple of our eye, and would look amazing for your wedding!
From the bride: One week before we were flying out to Palm Springs for our wedding weekend, we learned that the city of Palm Springs had just passed a new noise ordinance that prevented any music from being played outside in residential neighborhoods - and there was a new task force dedicated to enforcing this law. Our entire wedding was outside, in the heart of the Movie Colony - a very residential area. So, we did some research and found a company in Nashville called Silent Events who offers Bluetooth headphones. I had 100 of them rushed delivered to Palm Springs, worked with my DJ to get him up-to-speed on the set-up logistics, and we had a silent dance party :) While we wouldn't have ever planned it that way, it turned out to be the most memorable part of our wedding for the majority of our guests.
