Wedding photographer turned bride, Yumi and her now husband wanted a family centered, fall feast to celebrate their forever, and despite a little rain they managed to pull it all together perfectly. The rich colors and textures of Fall makes it one of our favorite seasons for weddings, and Yumi took advantage of all the seasonal blooms and greenery to bring her gorgeous day to light.
The color palette was a mix of muted fall + rustic tones, with antique blush, cream, and burgundy accents. The party got started under the tent with a rustic bar and a super cute VW photo bus that we’re dying over! Jennifer Larsen beautifully captured their day, so enjoy it below and grab a closer look in the full gallery.
We felt very strongly about keeping everything "in the family" so to speak. We wanted as many of our friends to help us with this wedding and were fortunate enough to have many talented friends in the industry. From our wedding planner to our florist, and even our jeweler who designed the wedding band - all of our wedding vendors were a part of our story before the wedding day and it was exactly how we imagined it. We trusted them to carry out our vision for the day and it was so special to see everything and everyone come together. I think the only vendor we hadn't met prior to the wedding was our band - and outside of that, we were able to keep it within our circle of friends!
It down-poured the morning of our wedding and we just had to smile through it. Literally. But we were determined to only bring good vibes to the day and didn't let it get to us. Design and decor were honestly secondary to us and our wedding planning process. As I mentioned earlier, we trusted our vendors to carry out their vision and gave very little direction. I put together a pinterest board but it had maybe 10 pins in it haha. That said, our idea was to have a fall feast in upstate New York so our vibe centered around that. It was a mix of elegant, chic, romantic design contrasted by the rustic, wild outdoor setting.
