Christina, American born met Themis, a former Greek basketball player a few years after deciding to live in Greece. They both decided that they would move to the states a couple of months after the wedding, so this was a very emotional time for both of them. They wanted to celebrate with their families and friends and our goal was to make this wedding extra special and filled with wonderful memories.
I loved planning this special couple’s wedding at one of the most exquisite venue’s on the Athens Riviera. This gorgeous property was our inspiration for this fairytale wedding. Christina wanted to incorporate the colours that define the Sky, Dusk and Sunset theme and that is why we added in Blue-greys and peachy pinks into the flowers and décor.
The rich foliage that surrounded the property blended in well with the high arches placed on the rectangular tables overflowing with pepper leaves. The freestyle flower arrangements embellished with proteas, peonies, eryngium, and astilbe added a subtle elegance to the table décor. Candles placed on the arch and the table added a romantic ambiance to the captivating table décor. A blue agate crystal was used as a keepsake as well as a place name which resembled the rugged coastline on the Athenian coast and the intricate gold box table number completed the understated glamour of the décor.
The quaint little white Greek Orthodox church was a perfect backdrop for the elaborate arch decorated with the flowers of the wedding while the ceremony candles were surrounded by cascading flower arrangements.
Christina’s gorgeous bridal bouquet was embellished with an antique locket of her grandparents and the confetti table was decorated with fans, service booklets and antique gold containers filled with rice ready for guests to shower the couple after they were announced as husband and wife.
After the most delicious meal curated by one of the best caterers in Greece it was time for the epic party to get started and boy what a party it was! The guests danced until the wee hours of the morning and one of our favourite photographers Elias captured the moments beautifully.
