When planning a destination wedding, sometimes it’s best to just play it by ear. This next couple used Google Earth to scout out their ceremony location along Big Sur, but when it didn’t pan out, they spent the morning of their wedding looking for the perfect spot to say “I do”, and as you’ll soon see, it was a total dream!
Could it possibly get any more romantic? You betcha! Because their gorgeous reception took place right on the beach. With their toes in the sand, they celebrated their union in total style. Congrats you two! Catch all the highlights below captured by Kurt Boomer and enjoy the full gallery after.
From the bride: Our wedding was a complete dream. We spent about six months planning the best day of our lives, and this journey was my favorite. With most of Devin's family from Utah, and most of my family from Louisiana, we chose to have our wedding in California. We spent countless hours scouting the ceremony location through google earth as well as chatting about our vision with our incredible florist, Anna Le Pley Taylor. The focus for our wedding was the experience, creating an incredible memory that we'd never forget.
So we spent a few days prior to our wedding viewing Big Sur. Of course, the location that we had hoped for had changed significantly since the images shared over on google earth. So we found the location for our ceremony and the dinner the morning of our wedding! Talk about an adventure! We promised forever on the edge of the rolling hills and the depths of the ocean with 22 of our closest friends and family. It was the most amazing day!
Our ceremony was followed by a magical dinner at sunset. We had several tables lined to create one long table with beautiful tones of blues and pinks. The intricate details of the pearl utensils, the subtle romance of the plates, and the rushing waves created such an incredible feeling. We watched the sunset on the water and danced the night away in the dark with sand in our toes.
