Stone and warm wicker accents give this classic wedding in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico, an effortlessly chic vibe. The monochromatic backdrop also adds an aura of modernity that is perfectly complemented by this couple's elegant ensembles: a backless beaded dress with a barely-there champagne lining and a classic black tux with an impeccable fit. The best part about getting married in a historic location is that all of the buildings fit together beautifully (both in color and design), like the entire town is one big venue...and that, my friends, makes for some truly spectacular photos!

These two said, "I do" in front of their closest friends and family at Casa Blanca, a rare and coveted venue.  Artonico Stories relied on light and shadows to add a modern edge to the photos and film for this classic wedding. Handcrafted Weddings played such a critical role in making this incredible wedding a reality, they curated a team of vendors that worked well together and everything fit seamlessly with the design. A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY

The gorgeous young couple, Paula and Eduardo, chose this charming unconventional venue for their afternoon outdoor ceremony and reception. Because the venue is a government historical site, it is very difficult to get a permit to be wedded there. So when the team heard the wedding was there, we all got so excited for this unique chance to work in this beautiful space. 

A FAMILY AFFAIR

The bride got ready in a nearby family apartment in Condado; super uniquely styled with a boho grand chair. The details of the bride's backless dress were impeccable. It fit like it was custom-made for her. The ceremony was held by an elongated horizontal fountain, surrounded by historical walls and other smaller fountains. Incredible natural decor surrounded the area which brought in a lot of green and white details. 

DANCE THE NIGHT AWAY

Once the ceremony finished, the guests showered them with rice–a tradition that never fails to put a smile on the faces of newlyweds. At the cocktail reception, the white arches of the surrounding architecture added a modern feel to the overall vibe. Later at night, after the couple finished their portrait session, the mood changed to darker lighting, and with the use of white lanterns on a centenary tree, the delicate tone remained while the night turned into one big dance party.
