A Classic Pastel Blue and White Outdoor Wedding for 70k

Bride and bridesmaids in light blue dresses outdoors

The picturesque Legare Waring House was the dreamy reception spot for this elegant wedding in South Carolina. The venue is SO pretty in fact, that it also served as the main inspiration for the classic design in shades of pastel blue and white. Beneath the towering oaks trees, this stylish day featured decadent chandeliers, vintage furnishings, and lush florals.

It’s the kind of wedding that will stand the test of time, just like the bride's gorgeous lace gown from Pronovias! Keep scrolling to see all the highlights + budget breakdown below, and take a closer look at the entire day captured by Aaron and Jill Osteen in the full gallery.

accenting the venue

From the bride: We chose our venue before absolutely everything else and that served as our inspiration throughout planning our wedding. Legare Waring House has the most beautiful landscaping with ancient oak trees and blooming azaleas that will just make your heart stop when you see it. We really wanted to accent the natural beauty that was already there and the reason why we fell in love with our venue. As for the design, I again wanted to go timeless but modernized with a romantic feel. It absolutely came together perfectly with the lush florals, candlelight, and chandeliers that hung from our clear-top tent that allowed everyone to awe at the oak trees all night long.

Two special moments

I had two very special moments on our wedding day. James and I opted not to do a first look partly because we are more traditional in that sense, but to me, there was something so special to see him for the first time walking down the aisle. I did, however, do a first look with my dad. My dad and I have always had a very special relationship that is hard to put into words how much I cherish. Getting to have just a few moments together before we walked down the aisle I know meant the world to both of us and is something we will both treasure forever.

Favorite design element

This was hands-down a tie for me. We chose a clear-top tent for our reception space in the Avenue of Oaks at Legare Waring House and it made the space absolutely breathtaking. It allowed for both our gorgeous chandeliers and the killer views of the trees and the sky to be unobstructed giving the evening such a romantic feel. The other element was the STUNNING florals that Heidi from On a Limb put together. I never thought I would get so emotional over flowers until I saw the masterpieces she created. My bouquet was absolutely perfect showcasing garden roses, ranunculus, and peonies (just to name a few) in a huge arrangement that I wish I could have with me every day.
