Parisian Wedding: A Love Story From Chicken Wings to Forever
Love at first chicken wing? Er, read the full love story to see what we mean! This next couple had a sweet first date, but an interesting first impression of one another. We are beyond thrilled they gave one another a chance because we get to share their gorgeous day in Paris with you! So chic and so stylish, these two knocked it out of the park with their wedding day details.

Once Upon A Time
From the planner, Inga Heusele from CTH Events Paris: Joselyn and Julio were first introduced by to each other by a friend at a retirement party. Running into each other a few years later Jocelyn tried to catch the “handsome” Julio’s attention in an elevator, but unfortunately, he ignored her and she was left with the impression that he is arrogant. First impressions can be funny that way sometimes.
From Joselyn - "My first impression of him when I met him was that he was very handsome. After he ignored me in the elevator I then thought he was arrogant haha. After starting to get to him what caught my attention were his way of speaking, calmness, and his smile. I love his smile."
Next it was Julio's turn in trying to get Joselyn's attention, but with difficulty. Joselyn mentions, “He had to work very very hard." From Julio - "My first impression of Joselyn was that she is very well put together, can easily captivate a room and a personality full of excitement."
The First Date
Every couple remembers their first date. These lovebirds went out as friends wanting to get to know each other a little better.
Joselyn - "At that point, I didn’t know he was interested in me. So that day I ordered wings. As I was bitting into a wing Julio said “I think you’re beautiful!" Joselyn did not expect Julio to be as interesting as this, but the date became more and more surprising and adorable.
“An Unexpected Alchemy”
This first date was so nice and the two followed up with lunch. A few months later after not seeing each other for some time, they decided to have dinner. This dinner was the beginning of a long and marvelous story. After many conversations and laughs they secretly no longer wanted the dinner to end. Effectively, they till the restaurant closed.
Jocelyn- "After that dinner, I realized I liked him more than what I wanted to admit to myself."
When You Know They're The One
One of the most amazing and destabilizing feelings is when you understand that now you cannot live without the person in front of you. Love is the purest thing in the world and when you find true love, your love becomes all you need to feel complete. After the first weekend spent together they knew that they will spend the rest of their life together.
Joselyn- "When he was that person to comfort me best, that I felt that I confide in and the best shoulder to lean on." However, she waited to say, “I love you” until he said it first & that he did!
"Handsome and Muffin"
It's a joy to share the little pleasures in life together like traveling, cooking, enjoying a bottle of wine. Together they both love experiencing different cultures and food. They also have cute nicknames for one another, she calls him “handsome” and he calls her “muffin."
The Proposal
I was the happiest girl in the world to know I was marrying the man I thought didn’t exist. He’s everything I ever wished for and more.
He proposed at home when I was least expecting it. I had had a long day and he had made a nice dinner for us. After dinner, he said he had dessert for us but wanted me to close my eyes. So as I had my eyes closed, he laid out two cupcakes and the ring box in the shape of a macarrón.
So at first, I did not notice. I had to take a second look when I then realized he was on his knee asking me to marry him. I was in utter shock and started crying.
A Beautiful Wedding in the "City Of Love"
They always wanted something small and intimate in a foreign country and when they were planning a simple trip to Paris, Julio's mother suggested, “You guy should get married there."
Paris is always a good idea to get married, which is more perfect than getting married in the “city of love”. As we said before, they always loved to travel around the world, this city is the perfect compromise between traveling and showing their mutual love in a city where love made part of the traditions.
“I love the way he loves me. As long as we have been together it still feels like day one. He’s very caring and nurturing. Has a way of making me feel at ease no matter how bad something may get. He dreams for me more than I feel it may be possible. No matter how crazy of an idea I have he finds a way to make it come to reality.” - Joselyn
“Julio is, humble, caring, calm and loving. He is also very quick to drop to whatever he’s doing to help anyone without thinking twice.” - Joselyn
