A Breathtaking Cliffside Wedding…We Couldn’t Have Asked For “Moher”

The Cliffs of Moher are one of the most scenic places one can get married–the grassy hills and the chiseled rocks with the raging blue waters along an endless horizon. Mark Ryan Wedding Films was there to capture it all on video and to offer local insider tips on the best location to hold the ceremony. WHY NOT?
One of the most common questions Daniel and Kelsey get asked about their Ireland wedding is, "Why Ireland?". And to that, they always respond with, "Why not?". Truthfully, there are so many reasons as to why they chose the Cliffs of Moher as their destination. Turns out, traveling, being out in nature, and experiencing something new are all things they enjoy doing most together. So...WHY NOT IRELAND?!
THE BENEFITS OF HIRING LOCAL
When planning everything, they decided that the first vendors they should book were their videographer and photographer. They chose Mark Ryan Wedding Films as their videographer, who is actually a local to Ireland, and films several weddings and engagements throughout the year. Thanks to his local expertise, there was no need to hire a wedding planner because he was able to point them towards a beautiful spot on the Cliffs where they could hold their small ceremony. For their photographer, they chose Monocle Media. Monocle Media is local to the states and did an outstanding job at capturing their wedding day.
OFF TO A GREAT START
Daniel and Kelsey’s Wedding adventure began March 6th, 2020 where they flew in and stayed the night in Dublin with a few friends and family. The next day, the group made their way out to the western parts of Ireland to stay at an Air BnB Daniel and Kelsey booked for the family. Located out in the country, it was the most charming and spacious place for them to get ready. When Sunday, March 8th arrived they couldn’t have been more ready to finally say their "I do’s" on the Cliffs of Moher. Daniel was dressed handsomely in a black suit by BONOBOS and Kelsey was wearing a beautiful strapless BHLDN gown and faux fur coat from Nordstrom. Both ensembles rose to the occasion quite beautifully.
A DAY OF FIRSTS
Once they arrived at the cliffs, they were accompanied by thirty of their closest friends and family members. Even though there was heavy rain the day before, the couple could not have had better weather on their day–sun, clear skies, and a double rainbow during their pictures! It was such a gift for the couple to see everyone being blown away by one of the wonders of the world–and it was most people’s first time to the Cliffs of Moher–beyond special!
TO THE PUB
To end the night, the reception was held at Gus O' Connor's Pub just a couple of miles from the cliffs. The party was given their own private room in the back where they received the most excellent hospitality and service from the staff. Lots of Guinness was shared, there was a live fiddler band, and the food was AMAZING! This celebration was absolutely perfect!
