This fabulous wedding day was long awaited by the bride and especially the groom. With a love at first sight sort of love story, Rosa and Brandon are high school sweethearts that tied the knot after graduation... but not before first accomplishing a few life goals! We love a couple with a list of priorities.
And speaking of prioritizing, nothing seems to have gone amiss on at their lovely blush and pink wedding day! You can catch every last, sweet detail in the full gallery thanks to KC Photography.
Rosamaria Luna and Brandon Romans first met in 9th grade. When Rosa met the wild and funny kid on her first day at a new school, she never thought she’d marry him. For the next year, Brandon tried so hard to win over Rosa…from silly pick up lines to surprise treats and drinks every morning. Finally in 11th grade, Rosa gave in at their school’s yearly FCCLA ball.
Rosa says about that day: “I can’t express how happy I am that I gave Brandon a chance! He asked me to be his girlfriend in Spanish so I knew he had been rehearsing this for a very long time. It was the cutest thing ever.”
From that day, it has been happily ever after for Rosamaria and Brandon. After their high school graduation in 2014, Brandon began dropping engagement hints. “Nothing would’ve made me happier”, says Rosa, “…but we had goals to meet before we could get to that.” Once Rosa earned her associates degree, Brandon started planning the perfect proposal. “I’ve never been more sure about anything in my life.”, says Brandon.
With the help of his mom and a friend, Brandon got Rosa back to the place where he asked her to be his girlfriend, 4 years prior. Gullible Rosa had no idea what Brandon had planned, so it was a huge surprise to her when she entered the room to a display of flowers and candles, and the same song playing as the one they first danced to at that FCCLA ball. Brandon, on one knee, presented Rosa with a dream engagement ring and asked for her hand in marriage.
Rosa explains about their engagement: “We were engaged for 2 years but we both felt it was perfect timing. I had finished my Bachelor's degree and Brandon had a good job. The time was right….I was so ready to become Rosamaria Romans!!” Rose and Brandon chose The Venue Chattanooga as the perfect setting for their Latin-inspired summer wedding. Its features included a beautiful outdoor ceremony garden with perfectly draped bistro lighting and a big bright indoor space with a balcony to accommodate all their family and friends.
Rosa explains: “I've always wanted to incorporate my colorful Mexican culture into my wedding but with a chic and elegant approach.” With the help of their florist, they chose to feature lots of bright, bold blooms as a way of highlighting the wedding’s Latin flare. The bride was stunning in her clean, simple mermaid gown with perfectly coordinated bridesmaids who wore cold shoulder dresses in petal pink.
To coordinate with the theme, the bride’s extended family catered traditional Mexican cuisine in a huge, family-filled, celebratory reception. The venue’s second story balcony was the perfect setting for an overflow of Rosa and Brandon’s family and friends. A mariachi band dazzled the guests while they danced the night away enjoying the Margaritas y Cerveza station (Margaritas and Beer) and the extravagant 11-tier wedding cake. For Rosamaria and Brandon, the day was a dream come true!
