This wedding in Coeur D’Alene, Idaho blended cultures and loved ones

all white wedding bouquet

Boye and Ashley got married right on the lake in beautiful Coeur D'Alene, Idaho. They normally reside together near Los Angeles, California, but Ashley's family is from this area, and it has always been a place for the couple to get away, relax, and refresh. They also knew that they wanted to incorporate both traditional American wedding aspects, as well as traditional Nigerian aspects throughout their day because Boye was born in Nigeria and raised in Minnesota.

Keep scrolling to see how this day at Hagadone Event Center ultimately came together beautifully through the photography of Abi Noel Photography and Cami Bradley Photography, featuring planning and florals by Pearl and Tin, as well as filming by Ferguson Films. Lake Coeur D'Alene was the perfect backdrop for each part of this special event

The morning of the wedding started off with the bride and groom in separate Airbnb's preparing for the day with their respective wedding parties. Limos arrived to take each group to the venue, the Hagadone Event Center. They had a beautiful ceremony overlooking the gorgeous Lake Coeur D'Alene, complete with two standing floral arrangements.

The waterfront setting was the ultimate complement to the live watercolor painting

For the reception, Ashley and Boye decided on a mix of different centerpieces, all consisting of white flowers with greenery. They had live music and live watercolor paintings for their guests. Ashley has been a dancer all of her life, so every part of the reception was planned with the perfect dance in mind. Following the special dances, they had an entire choreographed dance that included the whole wedding party.

The reception transformed into a giant glow stick party, featuring a traditional Nigerian money dance!

Halfway through the reception, the bride and groom (as well as their entire families and wedding party) changed into traditional Nigerian outfits, celebrated the marriage with a money dance, and finished the night with a giant glow stick dance party. They left the wedding in a party bus with their people to head to downtown Coeur D'Alene to party the night away. It was truly a day of joy and celebration for these newlyweds!
