Within minutes of meeting Ryan, Joelle knew that he would be the man she would marry. Their connection was instant, and their love for one another effortless. They quickly realized they were meant to be a family, leading to a romantic NYE engagement and eventually to an ivy-covered staircase, where they would become husband and wife.
West of the Stono River, surrounded by oak trees and lush Lowcountry arbor, resides the stunning Old Wide Awake wedding venue. There, on a beautiful spring day, Joelle and Ryan lived out their dream wedding in the company of their most beloved friends and family. Joelle, with no concern of being upstaged, had her bride tribe all dressed in white. She wore a fabulous, form-fitting Martina Liana dress with removable off-the-shoulder sleeves (We love a subtle outfit change!). Her wild, vibrant bouquet by Crowns of Laurel gorgeously contrasted with her sophisticated gown. If you’re a sucker for a Southern love story, you would have gushed seeing Joelle and Ryan say their vows under crepe myrtle trees and the red tin roof of the Old Wide Awake home.
If Gatsby were planning an intimate Southern soiree, he would look to Joelle and Ryan’s wedding gallery for inspiration. The decor was fresh and elegant, a palette of neutral colors with accents of sage and gold. From the sneakers sported by the wedding party, to the Spanish moss cloaked on the trees, this wedding embodied relaxed Southern class.

Joelle changed into her flapper inspired party dress to jump and jive the night away with her friends. Ryan stole some kisses and twirled his glowing bride as the crowd cheered. The couple closed out the night with a traditional New Orleans second line that escorted them to their sparkler runway. Friends and family sent them off with lots of love and well wishes, as the couple ventured into the world for the first time as Mr. and Mrs. Davis.
