Julia and Sami, both doctors, came all the way from Canada to celebrate their love with their friends at La Bastide de Gordes, in Provence. La Bastide de Gordes is a beautiful and luxurious hotel located in the heart of Provence in the oh-so-authentic village of Gordes.
The wedding took place in October with a budget of $100,000. The rain, however, invited itself to the celebration at the last minute. Because of that, the couple had to go to plan B, which meant having everything indoors except the ceremony. It didn’t ruin the day, though! The couple had so much love to share and kept smiling all along despite the last-minute adjustments. Initially, the wedding was supposed to start with the ceremony, but because of the rain, Julia and Sami had to reverse their plans and start the wedding with the cocktail party instead. This gave just enough time for the rain to get light enough where they could do the ceremony outside. When they noticed that the rain was letting up, they jumped at the chance to go down to the ceremony, which took place in the gardens of La Bastide de Gordes.
A beautiful flower arch created by La Blonde et le Barbu in pastel orange and yellow colors harmonized perfectly with the colors of the hotel’s facade. To protect themselves from the light rain that fell, the guests also had white umbrellas so as to keep the aesthetic. The bride and groom walked in the soft rain to the rhythm of the Botticcelis musicians, and despite the rain, their smiles were radiant as ever when they were pronounced husband and wife.

Just like they did for the cocktail party, Julia and Sami also had to opt for plan B for the dinner. Initially it was supposed to take place in the gardens of the Bastide de Gordes, but instead it was moved inside to a wonderful room right next door. The decor was in the same colors as the ceremony, which helped to brighten the room.
And of course the celebration wasn't complete without fantastic music. The beginning of the meal (and the evening) was energized by the wonderful band, The Swing Vandals, before Wildfire DJ took over to make everyone dance until the end of the night.
