A spin-off from the "shabby chic" weddings of yore, rustic weddings are a trend that has continued to thrive and evolve. Modern couples are more about comfort than pomp and circumstance and are always searching for a way to reflect that in their wedding without sacrificing style. This wedding at Farm 12, a vintage farm in Washington with a modern makeover, is the perfect example of how to throw a modern wedding with rustic elements. They incorporated light, natural wood accents and leaned toward cool metallics with an industrial feel.
Erin Sweeny designed this wedding, along with the couple, and totally nailed the vibe! Oak And Fig Floral created the beautiful minimalist floral arrangements for the ceremony and the subtle centerpieces for the reception that resemble freshly picked wildflowers. The light color palette and bright open-air venue made for the perfect wedding photos and Shantel Wall Photography didn't miss a moment! Classic with a touch of rustic is the perfect way to describe Madison and Joseph's beautiful wedding. The guests arrived at the ceremony location–an open courtyard setting with a rustic look. The couple added small rustic details around the ceremony and reception to accent the white, cream, green, and blue color palette. The florals by Oak And Fig set the feel for the wedding without going too formal and polished the look perfectly. The cake was not only gorgeous, but also delicious, and was provided by Celebrity Cake Studios and kept with the classic cream colors of the wedding day.
Farm 12 was so excited to host this wedding and see yet another couple joining their lives together at their stunning venue. The bride and her bridesmaids got ready in the modern bridal suite onsite. Her dress from The Wedding Bell hung so elegantly while Onsite Beauty By Brooke applied the final touches to her hair and makeup. The bridesmaids' dresses were a classic dusty blue from Birdy Grey that photographed so well. The groom kept his look classic with a black suit from Men's Wearhouse.
After the ceremony, Madison and Joseph joined their guests and mingled. I always love when couples elect to have the first look and all of their portraits taken before the ceremony. It helps keep the flow of the day fun and relaxed, and it allows more time for the couple to celebrate with their guests. Erin Sweeny kept the wedding organized and on time from setup to the reception, where DJ Diph had people dancing the night away. The event of the night was the grand sparkler exit under the twinkling lights and stars. Shantel Wall Photography and Neighboring Light Videography captured the bride and groom over the moon to leave their wedding as husband and wife.
