From Love From Mwai: Our French shoot is inspired by the romance whimsical, French garden with a modern twist and rustic textures in an enchanting palette of blush pink, greys, greens and ivory. The shoot was in the grounds of the beautiful Mas Lou Peylouet, Grasse, French Rivera. The surrounding countryside provides the perfect backdrop. I was so excited when Natasha from Azur Flowers asked me to team up with her for a beautiful style shoot in Grasse.
French wedding style is all about achieving a look of understated elegance. The idea stemmed from our love of all things vintage and romantic. By gathering inspiration from beautiful laces and gorgeous pastels, we were able to come up with a modern twist on a timeless concept. We had a very small window of opportunity to get in and get the perfect shots; we had to change the venue the morning of the shoot due to heavy rains the night before that caused a flood. I think we created something truly lovely.
This shoot is full of beautiful colors, setting the table with beautiful cotton linens and adding a touch of romance with glassware and gold cutlery from White House Crockery was an obvious choice. The menu, printed goods from my awesome friend from Ollie’s studios set the tone for a romantic soiree while the magnificent floral centerpieces by Azur Flowers was absolutely the table’s pièce de résistance.
The wedding dress was designed by Ela Siromascenko. The gown delicately, and utterly extravagantly hand-cut design designed specifically for the shoot fitted so beautiful on our lovely bride- Camille Dubaux with gorgeous shoes from Freya Rose. The flabbergastingly fabulous and all round sparkletastic photographs were captured oh so perfectly by my talented friend Amanda Karen. Everyone did their job by finding the one thing that will make this shoot special, and it was even more motivating to see the photoshoot come alive with the amazing video from Simply Lovely Photography.
