Whimsical British Countryside Spring Wedding Inspiration
Spring has sprung and this next shoot will leave you feeling as if you’ve walked out of a fairytale in the making! The stunning grounds of Alswick Hall Estate in the UK is where this gorgeous editorial comes to life with soft pastels, fresh florals and two beautiful bridal looks perfect for spring.
Of course, no whimsical spring shoot would be complete without an adorable furry bunny in a flower crown! The cuteness continues below, plus see every last heartfelt moment in the full gallery afterwards captured by the talented Gyan Gurung Photography.
Colorful and whimsical
From Gyan Gurung Photography: With Easter approaching soon, we wanted to put together a colourful and whimsical editorial full of traditional elements but styled in a subtle and organic way that compliments the feel of British countryside. We wanted to create a portrait of a girl who is looking to or dreaming of getting married, her vision inspired by classic literature and love for nature.
FRESHNESS OF SPRING
Situated on the grounds of Alswick Hall Estate in the gardens of a grand Tudor mansion, this shoot reflects on the freshness of spring, the romantic innocence of youth and joyful wonder of Easter. We drew on the Easter theme by playing with pastel colours and light, airy textures. We also incorporated Easter eggs in place of escort cards on the table, a pet rabbit - who kept the whole team entertained - and kept to natural soft tones in hair, makeup and bridal wear.
PASTEL COLORS
Using an uncovered lime wash trestle table, oak cross back chairs and a vintage armchair further added to the harmonious look. The floral design kept with the bright pastel colour scheme and incorporated seasonal flowers: cherry blossom, forget-me-nots, lilac, roses and daffodils. To contrast the Easter theme, the crockery was kept very rich and elegant with gold elements, blush tumblers, crystal glassware and a minimal centerpiece vase. Likewise, stationery kept to minimal clean calligraphy for a smart and elegant design.
FAIRYTALE FEEL
To match the colours of the shoot, we kept the dessert table curious, with a multicolour macaroon tower, a pastel cake with floral accents and a sweet platter, displayed on a vintage French drawer against a duck egg barn door. With the first look being more bridal, the dress stood out more against the set, softened by the delicate French lace. On the other hand, the second look is more romantic and playful, with a faint fairytale feel.
