The crashing waves along the coast of California was the inspiration for these oceanfront nuptials styled by Perfect The Event and beautifully captured by Lovisa Photo. The fresh color palette was inspired by the sea with ocean blues and soft shades of coral, orange, yellow and peach. The perfect palette for a breathtaking coastal wedding!
The wicker ceremony arbor certainly stole the show covered in gorgeous roses and draping fabric. They continued their ocean inspired design into the reception with a floral filled tablescape featuring blue tapered candles and wood laser cut place cards. Truly stunning to say the least! From Perfect The Event: This look was inspired by the ocean waves crashing gently along the beach and the beautiful floral that lines the coast. Between the divine blue tones of the water, and the vibrant hues of the flowers, it only made sense to celebrate the two.
Having a colorful oceanfront wedding inspiration shoot meant using bright and warm toned florals, and incorporating the water with pops of cool colors in the textiles and smaller details such as our paper goods from Jen Simpson Designs. Ole Hanson Beach Club was the perfect venue to host this California coastal dream.
1. Be mindful of your ceremony time so your guests aren’t staring at the sun.
2. Remind your guest that it’s gets cool near the beach so they can dress accordingly or provide Pashminas.
3. Parking is generally always an issue at the beach, provide valet or encourage your guests to use Uber or Lyft.
Since touches of glam were incorporated we needed our bridal gown to be both flowing like the foamy waves, but also have touches of bling to pair well with the details. Casablanca Bridal had the most stunning gown for our bride, and Friar Tux’s tan suit was the perfect compliment.
The design mixes in metals such as our rose gold laser cut items from Happily Ever Etched to contrast against the Spanish villa feel of the venue. Whimsical floral are featured throughout and the white hanging roses from Three Petals are intended to imitate the fluffy clouds over the horizon. Love Cakes took this fluffy feel into one of their layers, and the colors of the floral into a watercolor design for the bottom tier.
