Rich terracotta tones melt into the earth in this desert boho inspiration shoot with a Southwestern twist. The styling for this shoot is so on-point! Finding that perfect balance between rustic and refined can be a challenge, but this team found the trick–amp up the fashion. From the billowing silk of the empire cut cape and fringe skirt exit look to the golden velvet blazer and bolo tie–we simply can't get enough! The couple's elegant looks elevate the rustic vibes of the wood tables and textured linens and bring the whole scene together.
Taylor Oyebadejo for Leilani Weddings clearly thought about every element when planning this inspiration shoot at Sacred Sands Joshua Tree, and Victoria Gold Photography was there to capture every last detail. For desert weddings, dried is definitely the way to go when it comes to florals, nature is serving up enough color to go around so focus on creating volume like By Jason Lloyd did with these exploding arrangements. Being in Joshua tree with a backdrop of the open desert, Sacred Sands evokes the strong boho vibes that the desert offers. The terracotta tones of the exterior along with the rustic style woods and adobe-like layers of the main house also give a Southwestern flavor to this venue. This inspired the Southwest-Boho-Chic aesthetic for this styled shoot with Allison and Charles.
Drawing from the rich earth-tone colors, heavy textures, and carpentered objects of the Southwest style, the lounge from Adore Folklore featured layered woven rugs, leather accents, and wooden vessels. Jason Lloyd used heavy pampas grass with soft cream, taupe, and lavender roses to create a stunning, spouting arch that added the perfect boho balance to the ceremony. Dining featured tabletop items from Catalog Atelier and BBJ Linen showcasing the natural clay and heather palette that shaped this design.
Allison's dress, by Amanda James Bridal, was adorned with a cape with billowing sleeves providing a regal renaissance flair and was perfectly paired with Charles’ classic black and white tux by Friar Tux styled with an air of relaxation and sealed with a bolo. Moscow mules along with a whiskey bar from R6 Distillery delivered a warm and celebratory setting to showcase Allison’s tassel bridal skirt.
