Okay that ultra girly side of us is totally jealous of this mother daughter tea time in Paris! How fun would it be to get all dressed up and just spoil yourself and that specially little girl of yours? Lucia Fatima did a fabulous job of taking the wonderfully feminine store front of Ladurée and making it a veritable wonderland of beautiful sweets and high end teas! Talk about a perfect day!

When you think about France, or better yet, Paris, you may think of romance, elegance, sophistication and possibly the popular "salone du thé" of the time. It is not a surprise then, that back in the 19th century the city was dynamic and women personified all of these ideas in their lifestyle. At the time, women were not allowed to go to the café (the café was just for men), they use to meet each other in tea rooms to talk, this formed tight bonds and a sense of complicity for Parisian women. This is what we aimed to express in this shoot, a wonderfully feminine world, recalling the magical and sophisticated atmosphere of this special time in Paris.
What a better place to capture all this magic, then the great Ladurée? Ladurée, is an historic brand, synonymous with refinement for more than a full century. Their color palette, the polished furniture, the precious chandelier and of course their delicious macaroons were the perfect frame to build our shoot, which was indeed based on the story of Ladurée's.
By having a mother and daughter relationship we wanted to not only show the elegance of the time, but to express the feminine world, and to show a strong bond between women. The same kind of complicity was also very strong in our all-women creative team, who worked perfectly together, and expressed the feminine feelings at its best.
The dresses were made by Marianna Lanzilli, an italian fashion designer. For the bride we choose a very classic dress, enriched with precious fabric. The delicate Sophie Hallette lace went well with the very soft silk, a naked back, and a bon-ton neckline. The makeup and the hairstyle was curated by Lina Pagano, who worked toward delicate tones, using spot light to brighten our bride.
The little girl who posed for us, is wearing a satin and tulle dress. The bride and the little bridesmaid showed all their complicity in the stunning environment, that Caterina Maurini, our florist, magically decorated to perfectly match the Ladurée style, using peonies, crystals, and vases to enrich an already perfect set.
