From Tasteful Tatters: An elopement in the snow is what we envisioned for this inspiration. There is something so pure and solemn about untouched snow, we felt it represented a perfect backdrop to the new beginning as a married couple. We created a tablescape that was intimate yet still had traditional sweetheart table touches like custom menus made from clear acrylic paired with the wooden chargers. These would work in a traditional wedding setting as well as an elopement and pairs well in a woodland setting.
The florals are simple, yet pop against the white washed wood & snow background providing a soft and romantic touch against all the wood & trees. And just because you're eloping, doesn't mean you can't have your cake and eat it too! Why not have a sweet treat to seal the deal and capture those details as well? We opted for a simple white 2 tier cake and added a woodland touch with our DIY tree toppers paired with natural foliage and pine cones directly from the site. Definitely attainable for any elopement setting.
Elopements can be magical. There is something so special about creating a sacred space for a couple to vow to each other their undying love without the many distractions that can sometimes come with a large wedding. For some, it's the perfect option to tie the knot, they are just not sure how to execute it. We wanted to create some inspiration for the couple that wants that intimate setting, but chocked full of details that are easily attainable or DIY-able to make those moments that much sweeter.
We set out to create an elopement setting that shows that you CAN make it intimate, while still creating beautiful details to photograph that you can cherish and keep forever.
Many ask, "what are the rules of an elopement." To which we respond, "there are no rules!" You can definitely have a bouquet, you don't have to have a traditional dress. That's the beauty of it. Do what YOU want.
