Valentine's Day has passed but we're firm believers that pure love never dies and never grows old or out of date. Inspired by such love, Perfectly Poised Events created an enchanting elopement amongst the desolate snow covered landscape of Mammoth Lakes California. With a romantic palette of pinks, golds, and copper, they gave one big nod to “Valentine’s Day” and wrapped it all up in a snow covered bow!
For them (and us!), this day of romance signifies a time to truly express our love
for the ones who make our hearts happy. And better yet these ideas can be used all year round for any romantic occasion and they're all stunning! This snowy romance filled elopement will surely melt your heart, get a closer look in the full gallery, photographed by Jillian Rose Photography.
From the vendors: Our favorite term ‘Happily Ever After’ strongly set the mood for this shoot. One of the first vignettes that came to mind was the ending of the age-old classic Sleeping Beauty - where the beautiful princess dances with her prince after true love’s first kiss. Her gown is pink, there is magic all around, and as they share another kiss the words “And they lived happily ever after” conclude their fairytale. Our mountain top setting stimulated all the warm fuzzy feels one could tolerate in 28 degree weather! With striking florals by Rogue & Fox Floral Co and swanky rentals from Sundrop Vintage, we painted the perfect love story for a princess and her prince. We chose two gowns from the fabulous Hayley Paige which included the ivory draped bridal gown ‘Gwen’, and the dreamy long sleeve blush ball gown ‘Lorelei’.
The dramatic bridal bouquet flaunted organic garden roses, pink ranunculus, burgundy scabiosas, scarlet dahlias, and viburnum berries - to name a few. A storybook essence was carried throughout the day and into the details including the burgundy velvet vow book housing the couple’s words of affection, a keepsake that will be cherished for years to come. The magic continued into the gorgeous announcement suite featuring handmade paper with torn edges, rose-toned vintage stamps and confetti, and a Mammoth-inspired backdrop in pink watercolor. The title being our phrase of the day “And they lived…happily ever after.” From our cozy creek-side picnic (fully equipped with hot cocoa and giant coconut mallows), to the rose gold pink sapphire engagement ring, this elopement is sure to make your heart melt.
