Perfect for fall, but would work anytime of the year…we are head over heels in love with the vibrant color scheme of this dream editorial designed and captured by Morning Light Photography. Vibrant pops of orange, red, and navy create a striking contrast that’s undeniably gorgeous and perfect for harvest.
The brides flowing gown is giving us life, but it’s the stunning dried + fresh floral design from Lush Florals that really elevates this shoot to the next level in terms of texture and color at the Gate House. Trust us, you won’t want to miss the full gallery on this one!
From Morning Light Photography: We have been dying to take photos at The Gate House ever since they announced that they will be hosting weddings. It’s a large bright white room with a plethora of enormous windows. It is literally every photographer's dream. We’ve seen a lot of the same when it comes to editorials, and we wanted this one to feel a bit different.
The florals for this shoot sprang from the desire to incorporate more dried and textural elements. Once Mel from Lush Florals started incorporating colour she said she had a hard time holding back with the blending of beautiful fruit and she picked up those tones in my blooms as well. Her latest obsession is small bowls of fruit placed down a harvest table or even unexpected elements like the scattering of carnation petals, almost as if they had been picked apart and left at that spot. She had recently been inspired by Francois weeks at a workshop and her team came up with an alternative to the ever popular floral crown.
Then figuring out the colours and theme, we wanted a look that was bold, but not intimidating. This way this look still feels within reach for a bride, and they can be bold without feeling like they are going too far out there on their wedding day. For hair and makeup, Ashton from Beyoutiful Brides wanted to keep the makeup soft and glowing. The hair was in a low knot bun with soft pieces framing the face.
