How  to be a destination bride

With this inspirational shoot, we wanted to tell the story of a destination elopement bride throughout her wedding day, starting with a relaxed morning in her hotel suite until her final bridal look.

For us, it was essential to convey a sense of serenity as an elopement is all about an easy-going, stress-free wedding experience. Overall, we wanted to balance a dreamy yet contemporary vibe with a hint of luxury. The shoot took place at the 5-star Nikki Beach Resort & Spa Dubai  hotel with its spectacular views of the Arabian Gulf. This was the perfect venue for us to create our vision by combining their sleek contemporary design with our delicate details.

As the shoot centered around the bride, we put the shoot’s emphasis on her looks and outfits to showcase the various phases of her elopement day. One of the highlights was the romantic lace and tulle boudoir robe that the bride wore during her morning. In the afternoon, she changed into her bathing suit to relax by the pool.

We pepped up her swimsuit with a delicate bridal cape that added a hint of drama to the otherwise plain outfit. For her final bridal look, our elopement bride wore a stunning A-line wedding dress embroidered with sparkles and floral shapes. The dress created an almost ethereal look perfect for a beach elopement. Equally crucial to the outfits were the accessories: two handmade statement cuffs with white baroque pearls by Misk By Lama Saeedand handmade minimal stud earrings by Vitrine Designs.

We also chose the bridal shoes with their delicate embellishments carefully to complement the overall romantic bridal look. As for the hair and makeup, our HAMU Artist focused on creating a fresh and sun-kissed glowing skin look, ideal for a beach elopement. She wanted to highlight the bride’s natural features with a monochromatic look using shades of pink and a hint of shimmer on her eyes, juicy lips, and fluffy eyelashes.

The color and the design details of the shoot were inspired by the calm waves of the Arabian Gulf and its sandy beaches. This is particularly visible in the stunning cake design. From the wafer paper fan to the sugar flower and the 24k gold leaf, everything was edible. And the Belgian white chocolate sweets with the dreamy details were yet another highlight. The gorgeous stationery added the final puzzle piece to our shoot, blending lovely details with a contemporary design. We chose every aspect of this shoot thoughtfully to create a dreamy yet modern bridal morning that inspires the romantic, contemporary elopement couple.
