We talk about wedding dresses, engagement rings, and real weddings allllll day every day, but real talk for a sec, when we talk about flowers, we can barely keep it together. Flowers give us life, and the florists who do them well, are true gods and goddesses. It’s actually ridiculous how many 💐🌹🌼🍃 people I follow on Instagram, but two girls and their team are kind of owning my Gram gaze RN. botanique, we bow down to you for so many reasons, including all the verdant vibes you’ve been sending out into the wedding universe as of late. We chatted with Ashley Santora and Amanda Pierce, founders of botanique on some of the trends couples getting married can get into next year, and they had lots to say!
As a floral and design studio based out of New York City, botanique creates a world where flowers make the experience. Their team of floral and event designers, artists, and producers collaborates with clients to create unique designs that are tailored and bespoke brand-specific. Having a deep understanding of color, shape, and texture, they bring a sense of style to all of their florals and make each arrangement beautiful and unique.
Color, shape, texture. It’s all there. And it’s for him, too, for whoever says guys don’t appreciate flowers like ladies do…

Oh yeah… he hates it...
Blushes, pastels, and greenery will always have their place in the decorative wedding palette - they’re GOAT-status - really, but in the next year, bolder blooms are going to be big (dare we say, hugeeeee). Oranges, reds, moody wine hues, just for starters…
Anyone remember when rustic was rad? Well, we’re happy to see couples taking much more industrial<>boho approaches to their weddings these days. And in 2019, there will be tons of city loft celebrations, intimate greenhouse galas, and night sky-streaming penthouse soirees: the perfect scenarios for oozily romantic flowers with some edge. Succulents, eucalyptus, lots of hanging greenery accented with rich pops of color and texture? Sounds 👍.
Flower walls and hanging floral chandeliers definitely had their moments in the last few years, but thinking ahead, the switch is going to flip towards more subtle statements. Like floral thrones for the bride, floral and palm arches to lead into receptions, floral frames to outfit cocktail lounges, and the coolest ceremony garland circles.

"I knew that the floral decor would turn out well, but honestly, I did not expect it to be as beautiful as it was. I absolutely loved my bouquet, the bridesmaids bouquets, and the boutonnieres. The floral arrangements at the church were just stunning! The table centerpieces and the hanging greenery at the Greenpoint Loft were simply breathtaking. I truly stopped in my tracks when I first walked into the venue. I expected beauty, but the way botanique made the venue look was just on a whole other level of beautiful. All of our guests couldn't stop talking all night about how picturesque the whole place looked (some are still talking about it!) and several asked where I found my florist! So from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU so much for making my wedding better than I ever imagined it to be. You are all so incredibly talented and I would work with you again in a heartbeat!" ~ Yulia
We partnered with botanique to make sure every flower crazy, Brooklyn bride-to-be had this amazing team on her radar. As always, thank you for supporting our sponsors!
