This team from Crete has seen a beach wedding or two in their time and all those years of experience led them to create the formula for the perfect beach wedding. First, start with a great beach and it's hard to beat anywhere in the Mediterranean. Go with a light color palette that plays off of the warmth of the sun and sand or the cool tones from the water. Dress for the weather–wear something lightweight and comfortable that will move in the breeze. And finally, play up the natural setting with strategic lighting and a beachside reception.

Fazou Events designed and organized this dreamy beach shoot. They looked to Yucca Luxury Floral Services to create these incredible florals, including this lovely arch that framed the crystal blue water perfectly! To add to the ambiance, Hanna Monika Wedding Photography took these gorgeous airy photos on film and Carmencita Film Lab developed them. Vasilis Tsagkarakis was also there to capture this magical day on video. A GO-TO COLOR PALETTE

The set of this micro-wedding inspiration shoot was at a seaside Greek church with the most stunning sunset and Mediterranean ocean view. The location truly helped capture the calmness and elegance a destination wedding can offer you that ultimately gives you an unforgettable wedding day. This wedding design is a beautiful mix of timeless wedding aesthetics with seaside freshness. Combining the ever-loved pink shades, pastels, and beige with a pop of natural green and blue that highlights the Mediterranean seaside is the perfect formula for a romantic coastal wedding. The photos capture the atmosphere in the daylight and after the sunset as we wanted this to resemble a real wedding day. We started with the iconic wedding ceremony, which was followed by stunning portraits as well as the dinner set up, and of course the first dance. We made sure that all the elements were perfectly balanced in order to embrace the timeless yet romantic seaside ambiance.

THE RIGHT TEAM

We designed this wedding inspiration shoot and brought together an incredible team of vendors who truly brought our vision to life. Hanna Monika Wedding Photography captured these incredible images of the couple and the wedding details. They focused on capturing elements of the color palette in every photo while creating beautiful storytelling. Their endless creativity and attention to detail can really be noticed in the images. Vasilis Tsagkarakis was also there to film as the day unfolded, and did a great job in capturing the magnificent ambiance of the day. Natural light was a key factor in this session which offered us plenty of stunning shots. Some of our favorite images that radiate love and serenity are the bride’s solo shots and the couple enjoying their drinks in front of The VW Mobile Bar where we can get a better view of her glamorous evening dress.

KEEP IT LIGHT

The bride wore two stunning dresses by Dantee that are light with modern touches. The day dress gave us all the romantic feels for the ceremony. The white floral embroidery in all the right places and the tulle skirt completed the romantic feel which made the look so dreamy. The glamorous evening dress consisted of layered tulle with subtle polka dots, hints of sparkles, and a gemstone belt. As for the top part, it was inspired by the Ancient Greek goddesses. It crossed around the chest creating a cut-out between her belt and her torso and tied behind her neck leaving an open back. Only chic and refined wedding shoes could complete the look with both of these dresses, hence why the Emsy 85 Platinum Ice Dusty Glitter Sandals by Jimmy Choo were a no-brainer. To highlight the lines and different fabrics of the dresses, a sleek and classy bun by Natasha MUAH was all that was needed. The hair, in combination with elegant soft makeup that consisted of warm earth tones for the eyes and a nude lip also by Natasha MUAH, helped bring forward our bride’s natural beauty and created a classy clean look. Our handsome, long-haired groom wore a classic black Raffaello Uomo smoking suit.

SPARKLE BABY

Jewelry is another focal point for a wedding. Cosmima Jewels provided the perfect jewelry for both of our bride's looks. The day look with the dreamy tulle dress was matched with gorgeous diamond drop earrings and a matching drop necklace that were carefully selected to match the engagement ring and wedding band. As for the evening jewelry, since the dress was covering the bride’s neck and already had an embellished waist, we decided to go for an elegant set of blue topaz teardrop earrings with gold accents and a gold bracelet.

BRINGING IT ALL TOGETHER

Yucca Luxury Floral Services created stunning floral creations that radiated the timeless and romantic feel we were going for at this wedding. They incorporated different shades of pastel pink, yellow, white, and a pop of green here and there. By using a mix of different flowers, structures, and sizes we were able to create dimension. Ultra Special Events did the lighting and Feel Ultra Event Rentals provided the rentals. The three vendors worked in harmony to create a luxurious and idyllic wedding table setup. The hanging flower arrangement matched the stunning rounded wedding arch, bridal bouquet, and table decoration. In order to create a glow and warmth, we used gold cutlery, napkin rings, rimmed glasses, and mixed and matched three different types of plates that enriched the tablescape. The tree behind the table was wrapped with fairy lights by Ultra Special Events which gave us a magical scene, not only during the dinner but also during their first dance. Speaking of lights, the lighting installation above the cocktail bar added a great touch and helped create a separate space that completed the look along with the bar flower arrangement on the corner that matched the rest of the wedding flowers. No wedding is complete without the right stationery. Atelier Invitations created a custom-made concept for the event inspired by the area and florals. They paid tribute to the classy romantic side of the wedding concept as well as the Mediterranean elegance. The cake was designed by Manuello Pastry Lab and was a one-tiered wedding cake decorated with flowers and distressed gold leaves.

Location is key

Make sure you visit the location before you start planning your wedding, it will most likely inspire you and give you ideas about how to use the space. Once you have found the perfect location for you and your partner, utilize its unique features to enhance the area in your own special way. Plus, by incorporating existing elements you might need less decoration and ultimately be able to save some money in this area.

Dream big

Just because you might be planning a micro-wedding that does not mean you cannot have your dream wedding. It might surprise you how personalized a micro wedding can be and how attention to detail can make the day so much more special.

Tailor your wedding dress to the destination

Take into account the climate of your wedding location when going dress shopping. Breathable airy fabrics such as lightweight lace work best in summer destinations. You definitely do not want to be wearing a dress that is too warm on your wedding day.
