The location of Villa di Maiano is one of the most prestigious estates in Italy and, for those who know how to look at it with attentive eyes, it reveals a double soul, where refinement and simplicity coexist. The styled shoot enhances this double face. The atmosphere of the lemon house struck us so much that, with the help of old trunks and vintage lanterns, we transformed it into the perfect place for preparing the bride. The delicate autumnal light highlighted the natural and Mediterranean color palette: red, ivory, orange, in chromatic continuity with the lime painted walls.
For the ceremony, a grandiose and verdant plant decoration was set up, embellished with hundreds of candles. The groom wore a total black tuxedo, while the bride wore a lace mermaid gown by Flora from Antonella De Brusco, and was styled by Paolo Manciocchi with her hair softly flowing around her face and down her back.
In reconstructing the location for the reception, we have kept the double soul of the villa, refined and humble. The banquet was set up on the bare table, with a mise en place made of carved placemats, copper cutlery, faceted glasses and tablecloths in warm and natural tones. To frame everything, the floral decorations arranged to create an elegant garden suspended in the air.
After a walk in the wonderful Italian garden, where I portrayed the bride and groom on a romantic swing, a change of clothes for her and away ... Towards the suggestive loggia of the swimming pool, which with its colors has become one of my favorite locations for this styled shoot at Villa di Maiano. To conclude with the cutting of the cake, as in any self-respecting wedding.
An element that made this styled shoot even more special was the elegant wedding stationery in collaboration with Federica Bettarini, aka La Precisina. Invitations on handmade parchment, embellished with the monogram of the spouses created for the occasion, envelopes sealed with wax and small dried flowers, coordinated menus for the mise en place, watercolor postcards with views of the villa, from the Italian garden to to the fresco of the Goddess Fortuna.
