Winter is coming, and to say this team is ready for it is an understatement. Layers of faux fur and rich blood-red hues give this winter wedding inspiration shoot a distinct and dark feel. When planning a winter wedding, it can be hard to find a balance between classic and kitschy. The key to a successful winter wedding design is to dress the part let the season speak for itself. Whether it's a fresh snowfall or an early sunset on a chilly day, there will be no mistaking what season it is, so don't feel compelled to shout it out with your color palette or decorations.
These moody photos by JamieY Photography add a dramatic flair to this entire shoot. Scheme Events planned this fun Game of Thrones-inspiration and Mylo Fleur created these crimson florals that you'll see scattered throughout. With its stone walls and rustic charm, the Retreat On Charleston Peak was the perfect venue for this shoot. The overall vibe was winter with a bit of Game of Thrones sprinkled in. The venue was the Retreat On Charleston Peak. This resort is one of the first locations you see when you are heading up the mountain. They have outdoor locations for wedding ceremonies and a beautiful room indoors with large windows. It's such a beautiful place and it was perfect for this intimate wedding shoot.
The tables were adorned with faux fur and warm moody table settings. The ceremony took place outdoors in front of a vintage mantle. We had an Alaskan Malamute for the shoot that looks super similar to the dire wolves from the show. The bride wore a crystal crown with the most gorgeous wintery wedding dress. Both girls wore faux fur capelets which went perfectly with the whole vibe.
Everything was so gorgeous. Great for a small intimate wedding or a full-blown extravaganza. Scheme Events also provided their signature celebration box as part of the shoot. These boxes can be mailed to friends and family of the couple. With elements from the day as well as glasses of wine to enjoy while watching a virtual stream of the ceremony.
