Set amongst a backdrop of magical trees that have been shaped and carved by time, this team set out to create a whimsical fusion of traditional Italian beauty and contemporary whimsy. Rich shades of pink ranging from pale blush to deep magenta dominate this romantic color palette and allow the natural beauty of the place to shine. Working with the grove's age-old trees, the florist turned their branches into abstract floral arrangements that appear to be growing there by some magical force. Following the whimsical ceremony, the reception boasted a levitating centerpiece that floated over both of the perfectly set tables.
Giulia Molinari, Camilla Galardi, and Ottavia De Sio designed this dreamy wedding inspiration. With the help of Michele Zaurino, who designed these incredible florals, they transformed the already scenic Masseria Amastuola into something otherworldly. These photos by Marco Schifa are so beautifully framed, each one is a work of art in its own right, they also captured this beautiful day on video. You can see all of the photos in the full gallery. When tradition meets creativity the result can be astonishing. We have been looking across the whole of Apulia to find the perfect location and eventually we discovered the Masseria Amastuola. Amastuola has special vibes, it is surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, it combines the typical local architecture with unexpected materials like raw iron, glass, and a refined interior design.
We imagined a wedding that could elevate the local environment by using colorful and contemporary elements. The natural shades of green, the red iron, and the white walls and pavements are perfectly complementary with the palette of colors we chose: antique pink, purple, and raspberry. We wanted to make every detail special starting with the invitation suite: the wedding invitations were written by hand with a painting of the facade of the Masseria. And for the wedding notes, we used the typical Apulian drawings and symbols.
The couple exchanged their vows surrounded by century-old olives trees decorated with pink and purple Gypsophila creating an intimate and ethereal atmosphere. We gave a new life to these flowers that are often used as just a minor element in the arrangements but, instead, have a lot of potential. Each aspect was carefully personalized, from the exquisite wedding rings to the bouquet made from Proteas, the groom’s bespoke suit, and the bride’s tailored dress.
The courtyard of the Masseria reminds us of a typical Italian square, the place where everything happens, where people meet up to share moments together and enjoy life. The yard was brightly lit by the hanging lights and the flickering candles, the Gypsophila hung over the dinner table and gave an elegant explosion of color that matched with the glassy, pink, and gold mise en place. Italy still remains one of the most iconic countries in the world and, at the same time, is the place where magic and unforgettable moments happen.
