I must have flowers, always, and always. Claude Monet said it, but he HAD to have been having visions of this incredible space (hold up, we'll tell you all about it!) and this mind-blowing shoot in Temecula (nearly a century before it happened) to inspire it. Truly, we wish we lived in the living flower painting that became the muse for this Mid-Summer's Night-themed photo session. And while we're at it, we wouldn't mind breathing in all the aromatic floral fragrance that must have been spellbinding to the talented team, lead by Kristen Booth Photography and Madam Palooza Exceptional Wedding Rentals+Design, behind it all.
Carpeted in flower fields and ancient oak trees, Heavenly Oaks Flower Farm, an actual working flower farm, is utterly romantic. The place has been in the Paysee family for generations, a joyful host for celebrations and memorable occasions on the farm, and now thanks to owners, Laurie and David Paysse, it will continue honoring the family event legacy by welcoming weddings into its repertoire of bloom-brimming jubilations. On another day, we'd share a word of caution: that flowers may appear more stunning in the snaps than they do in actual real life, but that would just be a lie. They're just as radiant IRL. Let these highlights below prove it, and check out the full gallery to peep all the luscious details, including a flower-infused signature sip and a moss-filled ring box that quite possibly blows every other ring shot scenario we've seen out of the water....
From Kristen Booth Photography:
Sometimes a venue comes along that’s like no other you’ve seen before, and it inspires your creativity to soar to new heights. When Sylvia Asmussen of
Madam Palooza Emporium
and Dawn Weisberg of
Tularosa Flowers
first toured
Heavenly Oaks Flower Farm
hidden in the mountains of De Luz right outside of Temecula, CA, they knew they had found a magical spot. The wild natural beauty of the place inspired this Mid-Summer’s Night styled shoot full of fairytale romance and botanical details, because truly, it’s not often you get to walk through 8ft. tall fields of towering flowers. Working with an incredible team of amazing vendors, Sylvia and Dawn dreamed up a vision for a flower-filled wedding that was both classically European in its styling and decor, and wildly American in its bold vibrancy.
Graced with a classic white farmhouse with wrap-around verandas and shaded by stately oaks and lawn, the farm feels timeless. Our décor, selected from Madam Palooza Emporium, was inspired by the many colors on the property; the varying hues of the florals inspired every aspect of the design and filled it with understated grandeur.
Like a waking dream of love, I hoped my ethereal images could appropriately convey all the romance of our gorgeous real-life couple, Ari and Joseph. Wearing a classical golden crown by EDEN LUXE Bridal and a tulle ball gown with embroidered net bodice by Bonny Bridal, Ari was the epitome of elegance paired with modern flair. Connie Novello of Salon Novello created an amazingly-intricate bridal braid dotted with flowers grown on the farm and gold jeweled hair pins from Eden Luxe Bridal. Melina of Beauty by Melina dusted Ari lightly with fairy dust so that she shimmered and glowed like a real life, next-level fairytale princess. Joseph looked like the most dashing of princes in his ultra-modern, floral brocade dinner jacket and slim-cut satin evening pants from Suit Fellas - echoing the floral inspiration and elevating his overall flawless fashion. Gorgeous stacking rings from Marrow Fine Jewelry continued the fairytale, the shifting magic of moonstones paired with diamonds and gold.
Love Jenna K created botanically-inspired menus and place cards that infused the flowers into every aspect of the wedding design, and created a calligraphy scroll right out of a fairytale. Madam Palooza’s beautiful antique china, crystal and decor created a luxuriously-classical scene enhanced by florals referencing Old Dutch Masters still life paintings with fruit and flower details. As soon as Tularosa Flowers saw the giant ceremony frame she knew she had to fill it with flowers from the farm to create a living flower painting as a backdrop for the beautiful couple. The flowers even continued into the cocktails, with a signature drink created just for the shoot by Tularosa Farm. The Wisteria Fizz uses Tularosa Farm’s “Magic Juice,” a flower-fresh simple syrup that naturally turns cocktails into fairytale concoctions. The towering multi-tiered cake dripping with handmade sugar flowers and dusted with opalescence from Cakes to Celebrate completed the magical setting and botanical details of this fairytale shoot.
And off they go!
