Dark Fairytale Snow White Wedding Inspiration Shoot

Mirror mirror on the wall, who's the fairest of them all? Well ... it's the upcoming summer movie, Snow White and the Huntsman. A twisted version of the beloved classic fairy tale. Drawing inspiration from this dark romance, Country Sugar Events and Phenom Photographers brought to life a snow white wedding inspiration with a twist.

From Country Sugar Events

For color inspiration we drew from food and other natural elements: berries, rye bread, twigs and leaves. The shoot was drawn out in a concept that involved three vignettes. The first, a dinner set for Snow White and The Huntsman. The second more of a classic bridal shoot with an opportunity to showcase the dress, bouquet, and invitation. And the third, a creative play on a sleeping Snow White. We took a modern take on the classic fairytale, but kept key elements visible in order to stay true to the story. Mirrors, apples, and the color red all were statements visible throughout the entire shoot.

The creative process: After securing all of our lovely vendors, we immediately started a collaborative board on pinterest. Welcome to the new age of visual collaboration. This made the process so much easier and fun for everyone involved. We were able to get inside each other’s minds and really work a lot off of everyone’s ideas…in what felt like real time!
