Utah Events by Design was first introduced to Silver Moose Ranch when a bride of theirs booked the venue for her wedding. As it turns out, Utah Events by Design fell in love with the location and knew that as soon as other brides found it, they too would fall in love too. As it turns out, Brides aren't the only ones in love with this stunning Park City, Utah venue, the popular musical group Lady Antebellum shot the cover for their winter album here as well! So, you know it has to be good As you will soon see, it goes without saying that this location is as majestic as ever. Enveloped in nature, surrounded by fields of open land outlined in stunning aspens, Silver Moose Ranch provided the perfect scenery for a little rustic wedding inspiration. I wanted to take advantage of the open country this place has to offer, the bright and vibrant colors of fall that engulf the space, and the coziness of it all. That being said, I didn't want to design a traditional "fall harvest" looking table scape. I wanted to provide a softer color pallet that wouldn't compete with the landscape's vivid colors. I also wanted to infuse the comforts of home throughout the design. From chunky wooden candlesticks to simple plates and rustic flatware, I wanted this look demonstrate style and comfort.
The use of paisley's show up frequently in this design. I simply love this unique shape and I seem to be finding it everywhere in fall fashion and home decor. Therefore, I knew I had to use it throughout the design for this shoot. This cute shape makes an appearance in the fabric of our table runner, the paper good products and the decorative fondant lace on our cake.
Overall, I wanted to provide brides with some cozy fall inspiration that didn't dwell on the traditional fall decor or color pallet. In Utah, September and October are extremely busy months for weddings, but I think some brides feel that they have to have a "harvest" style wedding when they get married in the fall. Hopefully this look will inspire brides with a little non-traditional, but totally season-appropriate fall wedding design.
In addition to the table setting, I knew our fall inspired shoot wouldn't be complete without some cozy treats. We all know that warm drinks are a must on those crisp fall days so I incorporated hot cocoa complete with chunky mugs, whip cream and cinnamon sticks.
In addition to this yummy drink, I wanted to provide a variety of munchies that are not found on a typical wedding dessert spread. As a little girl, I remember when the leaves would start changing colors, my mother and I would venture out for pine nuts This was a fall tradition that I always looked forward to and now I always associate fall treats with a variety of nuts to snack on. Therefore, incorporating a multi-nut selection bar into my dessert table was the perfect choice.
