Sapphire Engagement Rings Aren’t Just for September Babes
Okay, chicks, so there have been quite a few celebrity engagements swirling around this season, and usually we come to expect the rings will be diamonds - because #tradition, sparkle, etc. - but guess what? They’re not. Nope! Instead, we’ve been seeing a lot of sapphires as of late, and they’re delivering on all the drama a trendy engagement ring brings to the table. We spoke with EraGem, a fine jewelry company specializing in previously-owned pieces from ALL the eras, and realized that these guys speak sapphire. Truly. We’re not kidding when we say that sapphires have a certain degree of sovereignty and star power. According to EraGem, sapphire engagement rings have been used for weddings since the 1880's and have presently been gaining major popularity.
