Royal Wedding Ideas Inspired By The Iconic Queen Elizabeth I

Royal wedding stationery designed by Carissimo Letterpress

You know we love anything royal, so we were so excited when luxury Italy wedding planners, The Wedding Boutique Italy, shared with us this royal inspired wedding feature. The day was photographed at a beautiful 16th-century manor, home to the Tollemache family.

The Hall was graced by Queen Elizabeth I herself on more than one occasion. The architecture, warm tones of the brickwork, expansive moat, and beautiful gardens made for the most dreamy, magical setting at every turn.

Please scroll down to take in all the beauty.  Gianluca and Mary Adovasio photographed the day. You can see all the photographs in the full gallery here. Be sure to watch the film below from Love Story Productions

Royal Wedding Stationery

The gorgeous stationery is designed by  Carissimo Letterpress. Antique yet contemporary, beautiful papers meet classic form, with gold letterpress set against carefully hand-painted details and jewels. The beautiful teal accent in the pattern seamlessly blends with the plates at the sweetheart table.

The delicate detail shown on the cake is perfectly reflected in the stationery, the work of two different artists’ hands yet so harmonious in their juxtaposition. You'll have to scroll down to see the amazing cake or see all the detail work in the full gallery.

Floral Design

The florals were created by The Wedding Boutique Bloom, with the desire to create something that becomes one with the setting, natural, textured and romantic. The almost rusty tones on the back of a Magnolia leaf marrying so carefully with the warm toffee colored roses, and offset by subtle blush and plum tones.

Indeed Hellebore were commonplace in the Elizabethan period, so it is by no co-incidence that they feature so strongly. The Rose, chosen for its obvious connotations with the historic period. The floral arch became an integral part of the garden, as if it has grown there, rather than been created.

Wedding Venue

The day was photographed at a beautiful 16th-century manor, home to the Tollemache family - Helmingham Hall.

The Hall was graced by Queen Elizabeth I herself on more than one occasion. The architecture, warm tones of the brickwork, expansive moat, and beautiful gardens made for the most dreamy, magical setting at every turn and therefore played a huge part in the inspiration for the shoot itself.

Bridal Hair and Makeup Looks

Wedding makeup and hair artist, Alessandro Mancino created a light, airy, a palette of nudes with hints of peach offset by the delicate touch of darkness on the eyelashes to hold a stern yet graceful gaze. The model's hair was pulled away from the face, baring an exquisite and aristocratic neckline, highlighted yet more by the crown upon her head.

By night, tousled hair, wild and natural having been released from the more taught, drawn back style of the day. Beauty is delicate, nymph like- baring the skin and soul that lies beneath.

Royal wedding cake designed by Unique Cakes by Yevnig

Royal Wedding Cake

The cake is designed by Unique Cakes by Yevnig. Aptly named, the ‘Elizabeth’ is inspired by the rich history of the Elizabethan era, this five-tier design epitomizes the grandeur and elegance of 16th Century royal costume.
Alongside Queen Elizabeth’s famed frilled collar, jeweled headpiece and crown, detail is drawn from the jeweled embroideries, Elizabethan ruffs, farthingales, pristine lace and pearl embroidery of the period. Hand- crafted sugar flowers adorn the cake, aged in beautiful dusky blushes and olive greens.
