“It seems like a dream”… oftentimes brides say that about their wedding day, only recollecting misty images of romance, smiles, flowers, and love… How does one create a “dream” wedding? Well, this exceptional editorial shoot achieves it with a fairy-tale lakeside setting, a subtle palette of dusty hues - pink, blue, grey - and an unabashedly romantic décor.
To enhance that “cloud-9” effect, wedding designer Tsveta Christou applied vast amounts of dusty rose-colored baby’s breath, enveloping everything in a pink cloud…

A landmark of Athenian jet-set lifestyle since the sixties, the lake is an exclusive site for social events these days.
The décor is set with nods to art nouveau, the lavish chandeliers, the impressive pink palm leaves, the striking crystals, the sliver trays, the bride’s exquisite jewelry… not to mention the stunning wedding cake by Zahari!
Pavlos the Flower Workshop created an ethereal bouquet with peonies, tulips, ranunculi, lysianthus. These flowers were also integrated into the glorious wedding arch, to complement dusty pink fans hand-painted from palm leaves, and enriched with so much baby’s breath, one might actually believe the bride and groom were being lifted up on a soft, tender cloud somewhere!
Continued on to the wedding table the décor combined all those powdery tones into an elegant yet delightful setting.
A vintage 1930’s Mercedes was booked for the couple’s escape, although they also had the option of using the boat on the balmy sweet jade waters of the lake!
