OV Photography and Kat Gaines Events wanted to give the new modern minimalist wedding theme a new twist by adding in a classic and formal feel. So they put the groom in a tux and the bride rocking not one but two bombshell dresses from Signature Bridal, then added some white florals and shiny copper decor to the beautiful blank canvas style venue, Willow. Just add some unexpected rain on the day of, and this whole scene has s delightfully moody and dramatic vibe we are so in love with!

This modern chic wedding is filled with inspiration for the modern, romantic, and classic couples. We did an inspirational/styled wedding to give couples unique ideas they can incorporate into their their special day such as having the bride do two looks with two dresses, a fun photo booth, mini cakes throughout the main table, the dinner menu placed on pairs, a DIY copper arch for the ceremony that was also used for a custom seating chart, and more!
The bride did two distinct looks with two gowns - each with a different hairstyle. We did this to give brides inspiration on doing two looks for their wedding day with hairstyle ideas for an updo and big, classic curls, and two stunning Kenneth Winston gowns for each hairstyle.
We had a few DIY projects for the day that included a rose gold copper arch for the ceremony and one more for a seating chart styled with florals. The bride had a floral headpiece created by the florist as well as an adorable flower crown for the flower girl.
The location was at a gorgeous venue in central downtown St. Louis, MO that has stunning floor to ceiling windows all over with 2 floors. The unique chandeliers at this venue are so pretty, especially during reception hour and first dances. The venue Willow is perfect for couples wanting a modern wedding as it's downtown and there are many locations nearby to take awesome modern wedding photos. (It was raining when I photographed this so we didn't get the chance to take any outdoor portraits sadly).
Something I thought was really unique was the venue we shot at has a meaning behind their name, which is Willow, and it means it's a part of a violin. So, we had an amazing violinist come and play for the bride and groom during their first dance! There was a fun photo booth that the bride and groom loved! It's basically the perfect selfie photo booth with a large LED ring light and Instagram-like filters.
As a wedding photographer, one piece of advice I'd give brides planning for their wedding is to not be afraid to try different styles and that it's okay to have two wedding dresses & two looks for your wedding! Because why not? :)
