How much do you adore these vintage bridal looks!? When her sister asked for a unique wedding gown, Imma Clé’s couture wedding dress business began. 19 years later, Imma has been featured in Vogue Spain for her artisan designs that always surprise and delight. Her 2013-14 collection features: tiered-lace scalloped skirts, separates with shear-embroidered tops and full-skirts, delicate lace jackets, and high-collars. All of the jewelry is handmade by Jordi Rosich, an artisan jewelry maker based out of Gerona, Spain. He hand makes exclusive pieces for brides using gold and diamonds.
Who can say no to the multiple talents of De Color Lavanda? With details that are sure to make the vintage bride swoon, these delicate headpieces and hats have a playful, cabaret feel with their soft colors and flowing fabrics of silk and tulle. De Color Lavanda also makes cakes, cupcakes, and cookies personalized to every bride and her wedding style.
From Veronica Hansen:Though I am from the U.S., myself and all the vendors for this shoot are based in Barcelona, Spain, a city with amazing Modernist architecture from the 19th century. We used this city's strong architecture to showcase our soft bridal style. We played off of the Modernist building's colorful mosaic glass roof with vibrant floral crowns; we contrasted the feminine cuts and airy fabrics of Imma Clé's couture dresses with structured columns and masculine architecture. Every detail from the shoot is completely handmade in Barcelona and all have an air of vintage love for the modern bride.
As a photographer, I'm drawn to what an image can become. I constantly observe light and shadows to imagine how they can later translate into an interesting photograph; to me it's about what a photograph can become with creativity, not about capturing exact reality. Here, I aimed to create an ethereal, yet dramatic mood using light and ambiance. The construction and architecture of both the building and the dresses inspired the compositions of the photographs.
