Golden hours is a magical time, as the sun sets the landscape and sky turn a gorgeous burst of warm colors. The ephemeral quality of these moments at the end of a summer day is half of their appeal. You have to soak it in and remember it as best you can, not unlike a wedding day. It's a fleeting day filled with the people you love and the beauty you have created. So marrying the summer sunset and your wedding day seems only natural.
Not sure about how? Not to worry, Beloved Coordination and a team of talented wedding vendors put together this wedding shoot to show you how to capture those sunset moments in your decor. So keep scrolling and find out how, plus find more beautiful images in our full gallery thanks to Jonathan David Studios.
This summer sunset shoot was dreamt up after seeing countless stunning summer sunsets. Each one is unique but brings so much color and beauty. I wanted to bring these beautiful colors together and create something playful and funky at the same time. I'm a bit of a free-spirited person myself, and love incorporating this into my design. I gathered together some wonderful and super talented vendors, and we created some magic.
I'm a big fan of color and texture so I incorporated this throughout the shoot. We started off with some playful cocktails complete with cotton candy floral puffs and blood orange ice cubes. Our dessert display featured a gorgeous watercolor cake that tasted as good as it looked. We added vases with cotton candy puffs filled with florals for a playful addition to the display.
All of the gorgeous boho pieces (including the beautiful boho dividers) were supplied by Avenue Twelve Rentals and they were framed by overflowing floral baskets from Eden Floral. The ceremony setup was extremely fun to design and setup. The venue has a stunning pond surrounded by beautiful landscaping so we wanted to feature this as best we could. I had been dreaming of a GIANT peace sign and when I presented the idea to Rachel from Eden Floral, she was all about it. She created one just for this shoot, and it was pure magic.
We used a gorgeous orange rug for the cozy factor and filled the rest of the deck with colorful petals. The black and white runner surrounded by petals made up the aisle and provided a nice contrast to all of the color on the deck.
The reception table featured (you guessed it) more sunset colors complete with a floral curtain, because, why not? We used wood elements to balance all of the light and bright colors and modern table settings to create some contrast to all of the whimsy. The calligraphy was done by a genius, and was equal parts whimsical, colorful, and romantic.
I couldn't style an inspiration shoot and not include a comfortable and beautiful lounge. We used a mix of modern and boho furniture and mixed in some wonderful floral pieces. Add a gorgeous couple to the mix and it makes for some stunning photos.
