This team of vendors from the Netherlands got together to make an over-the-top luxurious same-sex wedding to prove that a wedding doesn't need a gown to be glamourous. Menswear has been in a rut since the '80s, but look out because it is coming back on the scene with a vengeance. These matching metallic brocade jackets are EVERYTHING-we love a brocade for a groom's look! Aside from the dashing wedding ensembles, they played up the opulence with gold accents, free-flowing champagne, and an elegant venue. The neutral color palette and rich textures elevate the entire affair.
Eventels designed and coordinated this stunning inspiration shoot at Paardenburg. Maartje Molleman created these whimsical floral arrangements including the grooms' gilded boutonnières. These photos by Kiki Van Dam Photography and Marieke Zelisse Photography capture the ambiance of the event and the love between the couple through warm candids taken throughout the day. Jippey Media was also there to get it all on video. You can see even more from this sumptuous wedding in the full gallery. The idea was born to show how glamorous the wedding of two handsome men can be. Gio Diekama and Gaston Cardozo were our models in this white and gold styled shoot and were the perfect combination of passion and real commitment. The styling and concept were created by Magdalena de Winter from Art Decor Love. The Paardenburg venue in Amsterdam provided the perfect location for this shoot and for many more real weddings to come as they have beautiful facilities to accommodate up to 120 people. White and gold floral decorations were provided by Maartje Molleman, who also made gold rose corsages for the models.
Els from Eventels helped coordinate the whole day and made sure everything ran smoothly and according to plan. She said that the day of your wedding is full of emotions and can go very wrong if you don't have someone next to you who is in charge and not so emotional as you. Gio and Gaston were helped by Marta, from Marta Podlipniak Makeup, with a touch of makeup that made them look very natural in pictures. The beautiful stationery, with RSVP cards, invitations, and menus, was handmade by Femke from Witty Ink and she also provided handwritten name tags and the welcome board message on the mirror. Her handwriting style is very unique and special. The grooms also had handmade gold rings created for them by Leonie from Atelier Aroha. They fit beautifully and added a final touch to the whole styling of the shoot. The cake was not only a piece of art but was also delicious and had rainbow colors inside to symbolize gay marriage. Miruna, from Miruna's Cakes, is a true artist.
The budget for this styled shoot was $35,000. Please note that prices do change, and this budget breakdown gives you an idea of how much a wedding like this might cost you.
