No, this endless lavender field isn't in Provence, it's in the Istrian peninsula of Croatia. As we've mentioned before, Croatia is quickly taking over the destination wedding scene with its scenic seaside views and historic architecture, but it also has a ton of hidden gems like this! Imagine jetting off to Croatia, getting all dolled up in a historic hotel and then arriving in this magical place where a table set for two is waiting right in the middle of a secluded lavender field–it doesn't get more romantic than that! Plus, the beauty of getting married in such a dramatic location is that you can keep the florals and decor low-key.
Serendipity Weddings wanted to show off one of Croatia's best-kept secrets, Histriele Lavender Meadow, and it's safe to say, we're in love! Bloom Room had their work cut out for them when they were asked to do the florals for this shoot. Instead of trying to compete with the lavender, they focused on subtle blooms that only enhanced the natural beauty of the surroundings and brought that feel into the tablescape. These dreamy photos by Lukart Wedding Photography absolutely glow and the lavender jumps right off the screen–you can almost smell it! Serendipity Weddings, a boutique destination wedding planning agency, decided to gather a team of experienced wedding professionals from the Istrian region in order to put together this inspirational shoot. Nestled in the gorgeous lavender meadow, the goal was to portray a young couple's elopement. The goal was to inspire curiosity about the hidden beauties and elopement locations around Istria, while presenting some of the current trends in the wedding industry, such as the color purple, which was pronounced color of the year by the Pantone Institute.
A massive wooden table was decorated with gorgeous field flowers and lavender, accompanied by grandiose candelabras. The smell of lavender was floating through the summer air. The bride model wore a simple but stunning wedding dress which was elevated by a handmade hat by the renowned Croatian brand Hats By Kobali. The groom model was dashing in a grey suit supplied by the men's attire brand Galileo. The beauty of the location and the love this real-life couple has for each other were perfectly captured by Lukart Wedding Photography, one of the best wedding photographers in this region.
