Jewel tones in fall weddings are officially a match made in heaven! Morgan Lei Design and Polka Dot Events teamed up with du soleil photographie for this modern day Victorian wedding shoot with rich color and texture at the historic Parque at Ridley Creek.
The hugely talented team of vendors played with seasonal contrasts - deep jewel hues paired with warm fall tones, vintage furnishing, and botanical elements all inspired by the Victorian era. It is total perfection, so be sure to visit the full gallery for a closer look at all the must-see details.
The inspiration for this editorial came from the vibrant colors of the autumn season and a desire to play with seasonal contrasts - pairing deep jewel tones with warm fall hues, dainty lace, and tulle with rich velvet, and a feminine tablescape against the strong architecture of the venue. We tied all of the contrasting tones and textures together by giving a nod to the Victorian era, which was inspired by the historic location - Parque at Ridley Creek (built in that time period) - as well as the antique items and furniture selected from White Glove Rentals collection.
To incorporate the authenticity of the venue and the colors of the season, Rebecca of RAM Floral foraged many of the botanical elements that she used in creating her floral arrangements and installations. The foraged elements created the semblance of foliage and flowers that stem from the old structures of the venue.
The bride's fashion was a favorite to create. Our stunning bride was adorned in two different dresses. The romantic drop shoulder sleeves and the cathedral tulle cape were features that drew us to the Rani gown by Pronovias. We set the bride's first outfit indoors to complement the majestic dark wood panels and create a contrast that brings out the floral appliqués on the gown design. The second dress had a corset lace top and long tulle skirt that we thought fitting for the outdoor landscape. The lacy bolero - Victorian and romantic - was a feature that made us fall in love with the dress. To top it off, the two-toned Dahlia Selva velvet heels added a perfect pop of color while keeping her style elegant.
