This nautical themed shoot isn’t your typical wedding by the bay, and that’s why we love it so! Corrine Frances Photography and a crew of vendors teamed up to create an ultra elegant design in cool shades of blue at the Chesapeake Bay Foundation.
The soft and sophisticated design blends a mid-century modern vibe with fresh greenery, and a few elements inspired by the ocean, including a crab trap card holder and mirror signs. Catch all the highlights below, and find a closer look in the full gallery.
From Corrine Frances Photography: We are so excited to share this shoot with you! When planning this shoot, we were so excited to find nautical details that weren't your typical stripes and anchors. Our goal was to draw inspiration from true nautical experiences in Annapolis, Maryland and make it romantic and give it a mid-century modern feel.
For a color scheme, we decided to look at the colors of a Blue Crab and use the different muted blues. For our venue, we knew there was no better place than the Chesapeake Bay Foundation to show a dreamy nautical feel. For details, we decided to lightly play off of things we love. The card box is an open crab trap, the place card holders are cleats from a sailboat, and the beautiful watercolor by Coffee & Calligraphy perfectly display the romantic feeling of the Chesapeake Bay. We loved the "something blue" ring that was brought by Zachary's Jewelers that reminded us of our bright summers.
