Modern and Chic Wedding with a Terra Cotta and Classic Blue Color Palette

We are all in on the Pantone Color of the year classic blue, especially when mixed in with earthy tones like terra cotta, brassy golds, and creamy oranges. It makes for a striking color palette that is modern but slightly boho.

This polished color palette is the starting point. A group of female Montreal wedding vendors (go ladies) created a contemporary and chic wedding day with artful touches inspired by Claude Monet's, light and airy landscape painting- Impression Sunrise.

The entire day was beautifully done, and overflowing with must-see wedding inspiration. Highlights include their fresh take on a seating a chart, striking table decor and a Voguish style desert table. Montreal, QC Canada wedding photographer, Kerstin Hahn Photography captured the day. Lulucoeurdebeurre was the event planner and designer.

Modern wedding invites in Pantone Blue and Terra Cotta were designed for the day by Deux Amoureux Invitations. I love how they selected completely different colors for the pieces, a different approach that worked.

UNIQUE ENGAGEMENT RING

The unique engagement ring and wedding bands below are rings from Atelier Epure. I've never seen this line before today, and the brand completely enamored me. I am super into this gold and tourmaline antique engagement ring, but you should also peruse their necklaces -very cute and very delicate pieces.

Modern & Warm Wedding Florals

Wooden, vintage apple-picking ladders were integrated and used for the gorgeous eco-friendly, foam-free floral ceremony installation by Flourish & Knot.

It is not easy finding blue florals, but Sarah from Flourish & Knot did a fantastic job of tying in the 2020 Pantone Color of the year with all the florals. She mingled blue delphinium, blue thistle, blue hydrangea, and a few blue orchids with warm-colored garden roses and various dried florals to create all the free-flowing organic arrangements.

Whimsical, Boho bridal look

The Clementine wedding dress by Willow was the perfect choice for this shoot. A free-spired wedding with a daring sheet skirt. You can try on this romantic wedding gown at Dream-it-yourself .

This Montreal bridal boutique is dedicated to contemporary, unconventional and creative wedding dresses, which focuses on the boho bride.

Makeup and hair artist, Catherine Laniel created a romantic bridal look for the bride using neutral shades, thick lashes, and loose waves paired with a gold wedding hairpiece from Untamed Petals.

Adding Ribbon To Your Bouquet

Maison Note is the artist behind this dreamy ribbon. As you know, I am a huge believer that adding ribbon to a bouquet is next level.

All the ribbon used is 100% natural dyed silk ribbons that were hand-dyed in Montreal. They were used in the bouquet above, but please scroll down to see it incorporated in the seating chart and table decor. Pure pretty!

YOU CAN MAKE THIS SEATING CHART

The ladies who designed this shoot are crafty. They cut this on-trend shape out of cardboard, painted it, and added the modern escort card to the cardboard cutout. In order to get everything to hold they used a product called Patafix by Uhu. It’s a glue pad that looks like chewing gum and can be used again and again. It’s super convenient, easy to use and very easily removable.

Super impressed with this fresh take on helping guests find their seats.

Chic, Modern Wedding Reception

A chic and modern reception table was artfully arranged using the couple's color palette. Wedding rentals from La vie est une fête and VdeV Maison. All the ceramics from the shoot are from Studio Laroche.

The stunning confections are whipped up by LLK Little Leahs Kitchen. The cakes have that impressionist feeling and use the signature color palette that is used throughout the shoot - classic blue, terra cotta, and brassy golds.
